Reetobrata Basu, is a Research Assistant Professor at the Institute for Molecular Medicine and Aging (IMMA) at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM). His current work involves mechanistic studies on cancer therapeutic resistance and large and small molecule drug discovery, in the context of growth hormone biology, in the laboratory of Dr. John Kopchick, who discovered the growth hormone receptor antagonist pegvisomant (marketed as Somavert, Pfizer), prescribed in US and Europe for the treatment of acromegaly.
