Dr. Tong Zhou, M.D., Ph.D., is a postdoctoral research fellow in the First Hospital of Jilin University and being a visiting scholar at Baylor College of Medicine and University of South Florida now. Her research focuses on immune-inflammatory mechanisms in metabolic diseases, particularly diabetic kidney disease, insulin resistance, and T cell-mediated inflammatory signaling. Her recent work investigates the role of SLAMF3 and IL-17R/NF-κB pathways in immune dysregulation associated with type 2 diabetes and diabetic kidney injury. Dr. Zhou has published multiple articles in journals including Cell Death & Disease, International Immunopharmacology, and Journal of Diabetes Research.
