I am a first-year graduate student whose research studies tumor immunology and glucocorticoid signaling. Our work investigates how activated T cells may regenerate active glucocorticoids through 11β-HSD1 within the tumor microenvironment. I am especially interested in understanding how this pathway may suppress anti-tumor immune responses and whether blocking T cell-intrinsic glucocorticoid production can improve tumor immunity.
