Anthony W. Ferrante Jr MD, PhD is the Tilden-Weger-Bieler Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center. His research focuses on adipose tissue - its physiology and regulation. Recent studies focus on the mechanisms by which adipose tissue maintains local lipid homeostasis and what factors limit adipose tissue expansion and weight gain.
