Dr. Bomberg is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and the Associate Director for Research Informatics for the University of Minnesota Center for Pediatric Obesity Medicine. He completed residency in Medicine/Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, followed by fellowships in both Adult and Pediatric Endocrinology, and a Masters in Clinical Research, at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Bomberg is board certified by the American Boards of Pediatrics and Medicine, and has subspecialty certifications in Endocrinology from the American Board of Pediatrics and Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism from the American Board of Internal Medicine. His early research focused on the actions of neuropeptides and their effects on feeding and metabolism, while his later research has largely focused on the use of obesity medications. Specifically, Dr. Bomberg’s research program focuses on precision medicine approaches for the treatment of obesity and on the use of electronic health record data to enhance clinical discovery.
