Erin Finn completed her undergraduate studies at Rice University in biochemistry and her medical degree at the University of Colorado. She returned to Houston for an Internal Medicine–Pediatrics residency at Baylor College of Medicine before heading back to Colorado for fellowship training. She completed a dual fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology and (adult) Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes at the University of Colorado.
Dr. Finn has remained at the University of Colorado as an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, splitting her time between UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital and Children’s Hospital Colorado. In addition to practicing general endocrinology and pediatric endocrinology, her interests include youth-onset-type 2 diabetes and the transition of care between pediatric and adult healthcare systems. She is a founder of the Young Adult Diabetes Clinic at the UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital Endocrine Clinic and the LEAP T2D(Lifestyle Medicine 2 Emerging Adult Program) quality improvement initiative to improve purposeful healthcare transition for young adults with youth-onset type 2 diabetes at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
When not in clinic or the hospital, she is an avid vegetable gardener, an amateur potter, and a pretty decent skier. She lives in Denver with her husband, Lucas, and their rescue dog, Pepper.
