Recent advances in obesity pharmacotherapy are transforming metabolic care through increasingly potent and diverse mechanisms of action. This session will explore next-generation injectable incretin-based agents, including dual and triple receptor agonists; oral and nonpeptide anti-obesity medications designed to improve accessibility, adherence, and long-term weight maintenance; and emerging pathways beyond gut hormones that may redefine how obesity and metabolic diseases are treated. Speakers will integrate preclinical and clinical insights to highlight innovation in drug design, efficacy, and durability-offering a forward-looking view of the evolving therapeutic landscape for obesity.
