Incidence of hormone dependent cancers are set to increase over the coming decades and there is growing evidence that exogenous factors impact the endocrine drivers of such diseases. We don't fully understand the influence of
endocrine disrupting chemicals on cancer incidence and with the introduction of thresholds for steroid hormones in drinking water (EU directive) it is timely to focus on environmental factors that may impact the development of endocrine related cancers.
