Erin Faught, PhD

Erin Faught was recently appointed Assistant Professor in the RIBES Institute in the Department of Plant and Animal Biology. Originally from Toronto, Canada, she completed her PhD in 2019 at the University of Calgary where she studied the role of stress and the associated molecular mechanisms. Erin relocated to The Netherlands in January of 2021 on a Marie Curie Fellowship, where she studied the role of stress on immune function at Leiden University. This work was further funded by a fellowship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Erin was recently awarded a NWO Veni grant, where she studies the immune-enhancing effects of stress
