Dr. Angelica Marie Pineda Real is a second-year fellow-in-training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at St. Luke's Medical Center – Global City, Philippines. Prior to entering her clinical fellowship, she completed a one-year research fellowship at the same institution. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Philippines, and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Medical Center, Philippines.
Driven by a passion for the academics, Dr. Real is a member of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee for the institution's recent postgraduate course, "cdTED TALKs 4.0: Endocrine Blueprints: From Foundation to Frontiers."
She is a recipient of the Philippine Lipid and Atherosclerosis Society (PLAS) - Viatris Research Grant for her study, "Efficacy of a Diabetes-Specific Nutrition Formula in Improving Metabolic Parameters in Filipino Adults with Metabolic Syndrome: A Randomized Crossover Trial." Additionally, she is an awardee of the ESE Young Endocrinologists and Scientists Clinical Observership Programme 2026/2027, accepted at the Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan, Italy. Dr. Real aims to dedicate her career to bridging the gap between foundational endocrine research and frontline clinical practice, with a focus on advancing metabolic health and elevating medical education standards.
