Mabel Tong, B.S., is a research fellow at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), where she studies the role of adipocytes in metabolic diseases. Her research focuses on capitalizing on the energy expenditure capabilities of adipocytes to help inform novel therapeutic stragies for obesity-related diseases. She aims to matriculate into medical school to combine her passion for biomedical research with direct clinical care.
