David Zak, PhD candidate in the Sean Fanning Lab. Department of Biochemistry, Molecular and Cancer Biology, at Loyola University Chicago. My research focuses on ligand specific conformation dynamics and protein-protein interactions of Estrogen Receptor Alpha in estrogen responsive tissues following treatment with clinically relevant endocrine therapies. Our goal is to elucidate the mechanism of SERM/D tissue specific action by bridging the gap between static x-ray co-crystal structures and transcriptome, by through structural mass-spectrometry, MDsim, and proteomics.
