Amitay Cohen, M.D., is a Consultant in Pediatric Endocrinology at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center. His clinical and academic focus encompasses pediatric metabolic disorders and genetics, with specialized research into Wolfram syndrome type 2, cellular dysfunction, and iron metabolism. He earned his medical degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he subsequently completed his residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric endocrinology. He is an active junior faculty member and clinical investigator whose research has been published in leading field journals, including the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (JCEM) and the Journal of the Endocrine Society (JES), and recognized with multiple Endocrine Society awards. In September 2026, he will join Columbia University as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to further investigate ferroptosis and metabolic pathways.
