Shreya Kordale, MSc, is a Graduate Student Researcher in the Sobreira Lab at the University of California, Los Angeles. Shreya earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Chemistry, and Zoology from St. Joseph’s College in Bangalore, India, and her Master of Science in Biomedical Science Research from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Before graduate school, she completed a post-baccalaureate research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, where she developed CRISPR-based approaches to study alternative splicing in mammalian cells. Her current research focuses on understanding the genetic and regulatory mechanisms underlying polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) using induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived models, functional genomics, and multi-omics approaches to investigate metabolic and endocrine dysfunction across reproductive and metabolic tissues.
