Clara Peek, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, with a secondary appointment in Medicine-Endocrinology. Her laboratory studies how circadian clocks and metabolic signaling pathways regulate skeletal muscle physiology, stem cell function, and tissue regeneration during injury and metabolic stress. Her work has identified mechanisms linking circadian disruption to impaired muscle regeneration, metabolic dysfunction, and vascular remodeling, with implications for diseases including obesity, ischemia, and age-associated functional decline. Dr. Peek is a member of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Simpson Querrey Center for Epigenetics at Northwestern.
