Ethan is the Chief Scientific Officer and is a Founder at Marea Therapeutics. Ethan went to medical school at Johns Hopkins, where he also completed his internship and residency. He did his cardiology training and postdoctoral research training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
He joined Third Rock as an Entrepreneur in Residence in 2020 where he helped to develop the concept for Marea. Prior to joining Third Rock, Ethan was a long-time member of Cardiology faculty and was a Principle Investigator in the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI) at UCSF where his research interests focused on metabolism. He continues to have a small clinical practice in preventive cardiology.
