Dr. Sreekant Avula is a Staff Endocrinologist at Hennepin Healthcare, where he serves as Medical Director of the Endocrine and Diabetes Clinic and Lead of the Inpatient Diabetes Service. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Avula specializes in diabetes, thyroid disorders, and endocrine emergencies, and established the Thyroid Biopsy Clinic and molecular testing program for thyroid cancer at Hennepin Healthcare. He is actively involved in medical education and clinical research and serves on the Board of Directors of the Midwest Endocrine Society.
