Dr. Eveline Bruinstroop (MD PhD) is an internist-endocrinologist at Amsterdam UMC, the Netherlands. Apart from her clinical work as an endocrinologist, her research focuses on endocrine regulation of liver metabolism. She performs translational research ranging from in vitro work to patient studies. She was the first to show the efficacy of thyroid hormone treatment in humans and has performed many studies on thyroid and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Eveline Bruinstroop is the secretary of the Dutch Thyroid Research Foundation and a member of the executive committee of the European Thyroid Association.
