Dr. Fernanda de Azevedo Correa, MD, PhD, is an endocrinologist and researcher specializing in rare diseases, particularly congenital hypothalamic–pituitary disorders. She currently works at the Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) and at the Université de Lausanne (UNIL) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Dr. Fernanda works in close collaboration with the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP) and serves as Coordinator of the Rare Diseases Committee of the Sociedade Brasileira de Endocrinologia e Metabologia (SBEM).
From 2022 to 2025, she was a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of SBEM-BR, which she chaired during the 2024–2025 term.
Her main interests include collaborative research in rare endocrine diseases and the development of an inclusive and welcoming medical practice.
