Michelle Bedenbaugh is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Florida. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2012 from Texas A&M University, her Master’s degree in Physiology of Reproduction from Texas A&M University in 2014 and her Doctorate degree in Cellular and Integrative Physiology from West Virginia University in 2018. She completed her postdoctoral training at Vanderbilt University under the direction of Dr. Richard Simerly. Her lab investigates neural circuits that drive feeding, stress and other motivated behaviors across the lifespan. In her free time, she enjoys being active with her dogs, Audie and Sophie, watching sports and exploring Florida springs and state parks.
