Dr. Renata Risi is a MD fully trained in Endocrinology and Metabolic diseases at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) since 2022. She completed a fellowship at the Institute of Metabolic Science at the University of Cambridge, focusing on obesity and metabolic diseases in 2021-2022 under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Vidal Puig; She is currently completing post-doctoral training in Diabetology at Sapienza University of Rome, with a focus on overweight and obesity in autoimmune diabetes, under the supervision of Prof. Raffaella Buzzetti. In particular, her research interests focus on the impact of overweight and adiposopathy on cardiometabolic risk in patients with autoimmune diabetes, as well as the identification of novel cardiovascular risk biomarkers. Since early stage of her career, she has participated in several commercial and non commercial clinical trials in the field of diabetology and obesity.
